Hi, I’m Dora-Lee Matodes, a wife, mom of two boys and a resilience & mindfulness coach based in South Africa. I am the founder of this practice born from personal transformation and a deep desire to help others live more present, balanced, and fulfilling lives.
Mindfulness has been truly life changing for me. I discovered it during a period when, despite many outward signs of success; a loving husband, a long and accomplished career in the corporate world, close relationships with family and friends – I felt constantly overwhelmed. The stress began to take a toll on my health and my sense of joy. Eventually, I reached burnout.
That turning point led me to explore new ways of living, one that aligned more closely with my values and what I truly wanted from life. That’s when I found mindfulness. What drew me to mindfulness was its simplicity and accessibility. I didn’t have to dramatically change my routine, I just needed to bring more awareness to it. And over time, that simple shift transformed my mindset, my energy, and my connection to myself and the people around me.
With over 15 years of experience as a senior manager and director in corporate, I understand the unique pressures professionals face – the stress, the constant striving, and the silent toll it can take. My mission now is to support individuals who are navigating similar challenges: to help them manage stress more effectively, avoid burnout, and reconnect with a deeper sense of purpose and wellbeing.
But mindfulness isn’t just for the workplace, it’s for anyone who feels overwhelmed, lost, or disconnected from themselves. Whether you’re new or well into parenthood, going through a difficult life transition, facing emotional struggles, or simply yearning for more peace and presence in your everyday life, mindfulness can help. I’ve experienced firsthand how powerful it can be to create space for healing, growth, and real, lasting change. Mindfulness helped me learn to slow down, to embrace my emotions (even the difficult ones) and to be fully present for the joyful moments that once passed me by unnoticed. It created space in my life for healing, self-discovery, and a deeper connection with what truly matters.
Through my coaching, I aim to offer that same space to you: to help you feel more at ease, more in tune with yourself, and more capable of creating the life you hope for. Whether you’re seeking clarity, peace, or simply a way to come home to yourself, mindfulness can be a powerful companion on your journey.
